I bought the box and the cable, downloaded the firmware. When I try to load it I get the box with the download button and click it, then I power up the box and it lights up blue, then I click start, then it says resetting and goes red then it says version 2 detected, the red goes out then just sits at 0%. Help please...........I have less channels now than I had with the cable box connected, most say channel scrambled.

Should say that the box is the EX100SL and it came with the free to air firmware already on it, do I need to remove this first? If so, How?
Thanks.

If you check HiTecks guide (link in my sig) I am sure you will find the solution, seems like it could be your connection to the computer, are you sure you have a null modem cable? and are you using a USB adaptor?
Read HiTecks thread and you will most likely get sorted
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

Been through the guide step by step, the cable is the one supplied with the box, not using a usb connection, it's all ok up until "version 2 detected" then when I click start, it goes straight to "system restore" then goes over to 0% and stays there. I have done what it says in the guide 50 times with the same result.

When is says system reset, unplug the box from the mains supply and then plug it back in.

I know the cable is ok because somehow I managed to wipe all the channels off, but was able to restore them using the cable, but it still won't load the firmware, just sticks at the 'system restore'.
Is it a faulty box?

You might just try downloading the firmware again, to make sure that it is not causing the problem
Try not to double post- I see HiTeck is already helping you out elswhere on this.

Yes, I'm sorry about that.
Another thing is that when it goes to system reset, the blue light on the front of the box goes off and stays off? It's as if the box switches itself off.

P.S.
I have downloaded three lots of the firmware from different places, they all give the same result.

Sorry but I seem to have another problem and as HiTECH seems to be available on this thread do you think you might have a solution/answer for my problm?
I've just brought a new Eurovox EX1000Sl and I'm having problems installing it, despite having these insturctions. I have follwed the guide provided by Hi Tech but for some reason my PC and Eurovox are not communicationg. When clicking the download button it gets stuck on reciever not responding. Any ideas?

I've solved my problem!!! I disabled my active com port, (No. 1 in my case), then re-enabled it and, hey presto, I flashed my box.
Then I did a factory reset and a power scan and guess what?.......No channels, oh well, back to the forum.
