after reading a bunch of guides and stuff, i attempted it. but before i saved it, i just want to make sure these settings are right. can you guys tell me if anythings wrong?

try setting the SPD setting to 2. that might have your memory running att higher then it is rated for, and set the timings manually to what it is supposed to be. also try a little more cpu voltage

Agree with KRJ on all points but the voltage is fine. Dont need to increase it. In fact you might get away with lower voltage if you try.

alright thanks guys. also, i forgot to mention, on the first pic, the one with the black background. what is that screen do? everytime i start up my pc, it goes to the motherboard screen, then that black screen, then the windows screen. but the black screen takes like 10 seconds, and i want to get rid of it for a faster start up. is there a way to turn off the settings?
one more, i attempted to overclock and i got various answers. on everest, it seems to read that i have 3.0ghz, but on cpu-z and coretemps reads 2.0ghz.

since i had the gigabyte ep35 ds3l board, i had the energy saver installed, and it kept telling me to enable this thing in the BIOS, C1E and EIST, or something like that. and i read the description and it lowers the voltage, so i disabled it instead of enabling it. and now my clock is 3.0ghz oddly enough. what did i do? did i mess anything up?
and whats that program that people use to rate or score their computer? i want to try that out.

those power saving options change the cpu multiplier to 6 when it is at idle. when it starts to work it changes back to 9. when you disable it the multiplier stays at 9 and you get your 3ghz overclock. i believe that black screen shows the bios detecting all the devices in your computer. you cant skip that screen.

darn, that screen always takes a while to load and i wanted to skip it.
should i keep the thing enabled or disabled?? and do you guys think i should keep the energy saver? or uninstall it?
as for the multiply to x6 and x9, would i still be using the same amount of coreV i set in the bios? because then that wouldn't really be saving any energy right?

that option can sometimes cause instability when overclocking so it would be best to turn it off. i dont think that it will save any energy because you are setting the voltages manually.
