WTF?! Is Vista Glitching out?

At first, just recently (like 2 days or so) I couldn't download Torrent files from Demonoid so I thought it was the site. So tonight I tried from many sites and all that happens is that it says it's downloading, gets to the copying phase and ends, but the file is not there. Did this with Torrents, EXEs, and even when I downloaded an update for my computer through Ad-Aware, it went through but then all of a sudden closed the program and now Vista can't open the program. It's in the processes area, but the program itself won't come up. PLEASE HELP!
