Okay, I'm new to all of this audiophile stuff. Well, after googling extensively I've come to conclude that I absolutely need EAC for ripping. So I DLed it and everything seems to go well with the wizard and testing. But when I'm done, the program seems to be going through spasms trying to read the disc (the tracks or track names will disappear/reappear). The only remote guess I have to the problem is that I'm using an external iomega drive through the USB port, although I've had no prior problems with the drive. I tried restarting the program, using the other port, and switching CDs, but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks for reading!

Have you tried using external ASPI interface? -
Copy wnaspi32.dll from Nero folder (or download it if you don't have Nero installed) to EAC folder and set EAC options -> Interface to "Installed external ASPI interface".

If this doesn't help, check EAC forums:

There should be helpful information in the sticky threads
