I'm having a problem with my laptop its an aspire 3020 it worked fine yesterday i put it into sleep mode and today it will not boot

It turns on the hdd and cd rom spin but thats it nothing on the screen can't access the bios no beeps just a dead looking laptop
the fans spin for a few seconds and then stop the only way you know its even on is the green light on the on/off button.

I can't think of a single way to fix this i have tried to use the battery only, the ac adapter and both nothing works there i dont think its a power problem

I have hooked it up to an external monitor still nothing i don't think its a screen problem as i'm as sure as i can be that it isn't loading into windows

Anyone who has had the same problems or has any suggestions as to the problem it would be appriciated if its the mobo i think its time to get a new laptop
