i was recently looking for an unlock code for my sony j6 locked to vodafone. i tried various ways and failed. my mate told me to email vodafone and they wold send me this code. so i did and got my unlock code within 20min.. here is what they sent me back..
1. Remove Vodafone SIM card from telephone, turn handset on.
2. Enter *#7465625*32* 86735368#
3. Display will read ?Network lock off?
4. If code is incorrect do not enter more than 2 times, this may result in the phone becoming blocked
