hi, when i first got this virus i tried all the usual ways of getting rid of viruses of the same kind, by using Antivirus software and such. But after looking through previous threads on this topic i see that that cannot be done. I have downloaded HijackThis but could not get a hold of Combofix. The virus has also inhibited most use on any browsers i use, mostly with Google search functions. Any suggestions ?

Hi, i had the same problem 2 hours ago, the solution is to easy, just go to start, execute, write msconfig, go to general and then choose the option System Restore, then you need to say to the system do it for a day that the computer was good,in my personal case yesterday, thats all, you will take 5 minutes. After all, try to install CCleaner and do a scan to your computer.
That sounds like it should work great, but i tried it and my computer doesn't seem to want to restore itself at all. I appreciate the suggestion though, thanks.
Now, please download ComboFix.
With ComboFix, at the download window, please rename it to Combo-Fix(.exe) before downloading it.
Please disable all security programs, such as antiviruses, antispywares, and firewalls. Also disable your internet connection.
? Run Combo-Fix.exe and follow the prompts.
**Understand that things like your system clock changing and your desktop disappearing might happen. Do not worry, because all will be restored later. ? Wait for the scan to be completed.
? If it requires a reboot, please do it.
? After the scan has completed entirely, please post the log here. The log will be located at C:\ComboFix(.txt)
Do not click on the ComoboFix window, as it may cause it to stall.
