As of lately the max burn speed in my burner has dropped from 4x and above to below 2x. I dont know how or why, i have reinstalled windows and any other gay thing i can think of. Ithought maybe i have DMA turned off, but i found out you cant turn that off with windows, it is actually a physical thing on your burner ( a jumper you have to move), or at least this is what i understand. Any suggestions why the decrease in speed. And to add, i have used several differnt burning softeare, and all produce the same results. Thanks.

I don't know what kind of system you're running but I know when I get ready to do some burning and/or ripping with my p-4 1.8 I restart my computer and shut down all unnecessary programs. I then do the little eject button hold trick each time as well.
