Gday,

I've been having a melt down along with my computer for the past couple of weeks.
The trouble started when I tried to download Srvice Pack 3 for my XP.
After countless tries I finally succeeded, however other Microsoft updates would not install.So I registered Windows Installer again..it worked, updates installing.

Now I'm unable to use Outlook Expess, as soon as I open it I recieve this error: Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D.
I tried reregistering dll files and was able to do so except for two.These are the error messages I recieve : mshtml.dll was loaded but DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.The File cannot be registered.. and.. Loadlibrary ("msjava.dll") failed - The specified module could not be found.

Then I tried to use system restore to rollback to an earlier date but once I click on any previous date and click "next" nothing happens.

Avast! has stopped updating and the error message is: Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes is 20000004.

Msn crashes constantly and I had to remove Ad-Aware and Spybot because neither would update.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm at a loss.
