Issues with POPSloader and CWcheat (seplugins folder)

So I've scouted around Afterdawn and a few other websites and I'm still having issues.

Basically I want to make it so I can play a PSX game on my PC or PSP and use the game save between the two. In order to do that, I need to use CWcheat to get the .mcr file to use with the ePSXe emulator. So I got CWcheat 0_2_2 and used the INSTALL_3_71 seplugins folder because I'm using CFW 3.71 M33-4. I also got all the other versions of POPSloader so I can change the version I want to use for each PSX game. I installed those into the seplugins folder as well. In the recovery menu. I see cwcheat.prx [GAME], cwcheatpops.prx [POPS], and cwcheat150 [GAME150] all [ENABLED]. The game I launch is a Brave Fencer Musashi EBOOT that I made from the original.BIN file that is located at X:\PSP\GAME\Musashi\EBOOT. When I hold R to choose a different POPS version, nothing comes up. I still see the POPSloader screen, but I think thats the build in one for the CFW. Once the game loads, I press select for a while, but I don't get a menu to come up. I've looked at a bunch of other posts, but their solutions don't work for me.

I'm at a loss for what to do. I hope someone can spread light on the situation for me.

(Edit: I'm using the M33 Driver mode and a Lexar 2GB card. I read that that could make a difference in a post somewhere)
