Ok i didnt know exactly where to post this, but im in dire need of help on this issue. I own an old school PS2 model 39001, its NTSC formatted device so it should read any region 1 dvd. I have tried this 2 times now, Ive backed up a DVD and it keeps giving me the error TV system does not match, I know its region 1 (NTSC), I have tried it with a DVD+R as well as -R because ive heard rumors about the PS2 not being able to recognize the -R dvds as NTSC. Now this is where it gets a bit confusing. I know for a fact it does read burned dvd's I've personally been backing up discs for years... because things happen to the originals ect. I have NUMEROUS discs that ive backed up +R, -R, all of the above and ive had no problems reading them until now. I have no clue why it keeps giving me a message that normally implys its the wrong region code or thinks its a PAL when its really a NTSC. Anyone got any Ideas? I would appreciate it.

how do you know it is ntsc??? i think you are mistaken. it sounds like it is pal to me.
