ive just come back from the usa and brought some dvds and i want to back them up to uk region is this possible as cant seem to figure it out as they are for my little boy i dont want him to damage the orignals

If you rip the DVD's to the hard drive with 'DVDFab HD Decrypter', region coding won't be an issue.

The video on the US disks is in the NTSC format - the UK uses PAL.
I don't believe the video files will require conversion to PAL since I believe that standalone players in the UK accept NTSC disks (that is if the disks have the correct region code - which it will after the files are ripped).

You will have to shrink the ripped files to fit on a standard blank DVD-5.
You can use 'DVD Shrink' to open the folder containing the ripped files and 'Backup'.

If Nero is installed on your PC, DVD Shrink will offer the option of burning the disk.
If you don't have Nero installed you can burn the new folder with the likes of 'Imgburn'
