Motrola phone tools error :(

I have used Motorola phone tools before and it works sometimes but i just recently got a 1gb stick for my razr and i put a bunch of music on it, but i cant select the music off the memory stick to be applied as a ring tone. So i tried making a ring tone with Motorola phone tools like i have done before but i am getting an error that says (Unsupported format mp3 codec my be inappropriate or missing)

how can i fix this thanks.
