has anyone used "microboards" media? I seen them on sale at SMS, does anyone know who mfg. them? any info. welcome...

Never used them. I've used HP. Give them a try, I've sometimes found out that no-name brands work fine.

Noticed these for sale at supermediastore.com. For some reason, before Taiyo Yuden was sold directly in the US, I seemed to associate the names 'Taiyo Yuden' and 'Microboards', in Japan. Probably nothing.

For their recorders, they used to recommend only Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim, but now they've included Panasonic & TDK; and they seem to sell their own brand of LightScribe media, selling at supermediastore.com at about half the price of equivalent Verbatims.

Normally I buy only Verbatim (LightScribe) and Taiyo Yuden (others); but I'm willing to gamble on a few Microboards (rather than HP). I'm curious as well.
