Ok I Am Looking For A Way To "Underclock" A CPU. The Reason For This Is To End Up Building A Multiplatform Console. Im Pretty Sure That Most People Know That The "Microsoft Xbox 1" CPU Runs At 733Mhz Now Thats Great For Xbox Games However If Your Planning On Running XBMC And Playing Blu-ray Or Any Type Of High-def Video You Wont Really Get Anywhere With It. Now There Was A Website That At One Time Sold Xbox's With A CPU Running At 1.4 Ghz However They Are No Longer In Circulation. So What Im Trying To Do Is Build An Xbox From Scratch. Now I Know That Certain Xbox Games Are Going To Require CPU Clocking No Higher Than 733Mhz. So How Would I Go About Having The Processor Run At 733Mhz For One Game Then Go Back up To Normal Process Rate For High-Def Vids? Now There Are Going To Be WAY More Complications Than Just That. But If I Cant Get That Off the Ground Then This Project Might Die Right Here. Another Reason I Want to Do This Is For The Emulator Ability That The Xbox Has, Well That And The Fact That The Video Out Put On The Xbox Is Limited And Doesnt Offer True High-Def. Is I Am Successful Then It Would Be A Major Breakthrough In Gamming. Please Help On this

I wouldn't think even a 1.4Ghz xbox CPU would be very good at playing Highdef. Without wishing to put a downer on your project, it just seems far simpler to me to use a 360 Elite with a for-nothing HD-DVD drive addon now that format has finished, that will play most of your old xbox games, and via that method at least, can play HD, and you can always rip Blurays to WMVHD and stick them on DVD9s if you want to play them that way.
