nintendo dsl wont power up when fire card inserted

can any1 help,, just got d fire card in the post and when i insert the usb adapter part into slot 2 the console wont power up,, tried it on two consoles and got the same result,, it works fine with genuine games,, tnks

The only thing I can think of is that the cart is faulty, probably a short somewhere. I would not recommend trying to power the DS on again with it inserted.

If possible return the cart to where you got it and have it replaced.
