v557 screen blank - need to get videos & photos off phone

This is my first post, so please forgive me if I say something wrong. I've read through the posting rules, so I hope I am ok...

Anyway, I've had a motorola v557 phone for a long time, and the screen just went black on me, although the phone still accepts calls, and I can call out, etc. I just can't use the menus, functions, etc. because I can't see anything on the screen. I plan on getting a new phone since this one is so old, but but I need to retrieve the videos and photos off the phone, and/or see if I could get the screen to work till I get a new phone.

I already searched threads on here about Motorola Phone Tools, to help retrieve stuff off my phone, but all the threads I find are old and closed. The links to Motorola Phone Tools go to dead pages, unless I just haven't found the correct one.

Can someone please help direct me to where I can download the latest Motorola Phone Tools, and tell me if that will help retrieve the photos and videos off my v557?

Also, does anyone have a way to get the screen to work in the meantime, or have had any luck w/ dealing w/ these issues?

Any help appreciated.
