hello. i'm "legally" burning a movie...messing around and learning
(i own it this movie) I converted it from avi to ts for dvd format.
the movie starts out good, with words/mouths matching, then gradually gets out of sync. i use dvd flick for the conversion.
what am i doing wrong? are my setting messed up? thank you
Check the AVI file for VBR audio.
Sometimes, VBR audio can cause problems with sync when the video is converted.
If the audio is VBR, change it to CBR.
Drag the AVI onto the Avidemux window.
Check the file properties and if the audio is VBR, continue through the other steps - if not, exit and rethink problem.
Set the audio to the same format as the source (assume it's MP3) and configure it as CBR.
Click on the 'Save' logo and give the file a new name including extension (e.g new_file.avi)

thank you for the resonse...i downloaded this s/w...dragged in avi "the great outdoors"...properties revealed mp3 and variable bite was "no". now, i did this with another flick...and as soon as i dropped it onto avidemux...immediately a window came up and said...
"vbr detected,do you wish to create a map". well, i selected no and ck'd the properties of that movie and there was a "NO" in the variable bite field. funny thing, this movie played fine without changing anything. audio and video were sync'd.
dunno
