ok so i just upgraded to verizon fios from optimum online anyway i run the test from speedtest.net and i get around 5000 kbps dowload rate ok watever then my brother runs the same test on his laptop on the same connection and gets around the 10thousands i decided to test it out on my moms pos laptop and same thing in the 10thousands...any suggestions to what the prob might be??..getting me really pissed off bout to take the cpu out bak n let off some rounds in this bi%&*

oops my bad ddp wasant sure which catagory this fell under, well its wireless and im using a pci card the one u plug into the motherboard and its running on the router that fios left which is built into the modem

sounds like a Japanese dog's name..

Probably a pc card that's running at 10Mbp/s because of wrong settings half duplex 10T mode. OR somebody on the wireless side is taking all the bandwidth while OP is speed testing.

Kbp/s or KBp/s... which one is being reported on each machine?? hahahahaha.
