i have 6 fans, and my motherboard only can control 3, so i plan on getting a fan controller, and i ive been researching some.

i plan on getting this:

ive been reading about it, and there are temperature sensors, but how do they work? can somebody tell me how the sensor temps work? what do i need to get the sensors working if i do get the controller?

the sensors on those aren't accurate don't report the right temp. i would get this one instead.

This is a little "technical" for me but...

Quote:
They use the designer's method of controlling voltage by linear or pulse width limiting, or current limiting, to result in less power through the fan motor windings, resulting in lower RPM.
I got the info here..

This next bit isn't what your after exactly, but gives you an idea of what and why some sensors are better than others. (also technickel)

Hope this helps.
