I am posting more or less to start a discussion rather than posting a question. There seems to be very little information on Afterdawn concerning this device, which I am dissapointed about.

I have researched this phone and eagerly awaited its arrival after reading about discussions concerning the Open Handset Alliance and how google is releasing the software in an open platform format. They have also released the kernel (?) to the public for developers to work with.

I bought the phone yesterday , luckily the 3g network from T-mobile just came online a couple of weeks ago.The web browser is very smooth with very short load times . It was able to bring up just about every page I asked for. There are a couple of things that I have had problems with so far .I really need flash to use my banking software and I am very disappointed that it is not working at this time.I have read some posts in other forums and they seem to indicate that a solution is beig worked on.Other internet features are still not quite up to par yet.I have successfully watched several You Tube videos on it so far but when I tried to watch a longer clip (Battle at Kruger 8 min - if you havent seen it look it up its worth a watch)
but the device states connection problems about 4-5 min in.

Ahh but its a phone , how does it do to make a phone call you ask ?
Well texting and calls have been a breeze so far except for one problem.I called a friend and his answering service picked up , I was able to record message to him but when it asks to press 1 if you are satisfied with your message , I had to bring up the phones virtual number pad but the machine on the other end didnt seem to get the numbers I was pressing and I was unable to leave a message.

This phone is not an iphone killer as it seems to be a very different device but with a wide variety of features and ever changing content and applications available from the android market it has the potential to be something great.I have only had the phone about 24 hrs but already the paltry 1gig memory card it came with is almost full . I am going to get an 8 gig card when I get off work today.I will try to keep this post updated for awhile and I would love to discuss this device with others if anyone would like to comment.
