I'd like to be able to rip my blu-rays to files that I can stream and thus eliminate the need for the disc.
I've managed to do this ok with Casino Royale which was quite straight forward but Im having problems with one of my other titles.
I've used anydvd-hd to rip the disc to the hard drive but the problem is that unlike Casion Royale, this disc has several small sized m2ts files which contains sections of the movie and not in the number order of their titles.
Just wondering what the next step is given the different m2ts structure?
those type of disc called streamless branching
which movies are u trying to backup!!!
those kinda movies u need go for playlist from there the playlist consists of all the m2ts clips .
if u let me know i can tell u the playlist which also called mpls files
Hi. I have AnyDVD HD as well but I don't know what program to use with it to rip a blu-ray disk. Apparently the free version of StarBurn won't (costs $495 for full version) and I've heard Nero 9 sucks. So what are you using to rip it?? I'd be curious what you're using to burn it too.
Thank you,
Nathan
Im still having problems with this, can anyone point the way to a basic (very) step by step proces on how to deal with seamless branching dvds?
I've ripped the DVD to the hard drive using Any HDDVD as before but, as before, presented with no single large mt2s as with most other titles. Why cant this be as easy as with dvds !?!
Use eac3to to demux your seamless branching titles. It fixes gaps/overlaps presented in these titles. Gaps/overlaps could created small sync issues if not handles properly... which I'm pretty sure eac3to is the only app right now that can work these files properly. eac3to also detects the proper MPLS Playlist file for you, and will append each piece while demuxing. From there you can process as usual with tsMuxeR.
For eac3to support visit the thread at the Doom9 site, there is a dedicated thread there.
