Dear all,

I have a Nokia 1110. Without checking with my provider (Optus, Australia), I assumed the phone was locked and tried to unlock it with 3 codes obtained from various packages and forums. Each time was unsuccessful (code error). I later found out that the phone was unlocked to begin with (!) but nevertheless, it now does not accept other SIM cards - I assume because of these failed attempts to unlock an already unlocked phone! Does this sound right and is there anything I can do at this stage to get out of this mess?

I tried taking it to a mobile shop with unlocking hardware but they said that they couldn't do it for some reason. Interestingly, they noticed that the phone is manufactured in China rather than Europe but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

So here is the information. If you thing an additional attempt to unlock it might help, I would be grateful if you could tell me what to do
