is any1 planning on getting the new DSi??? bigger screens, better sound, SD support, even more slimmer, no GBA support (i could care less about GBA games) and it has a camera on it!!! also the name is completely orginal, everybody took the whole iPod name and they made iEVERYTHING which really pissed me off because iPod even stole the orginal idea from iRiver....but im not getting into that lol but they flipped it around! DSi....that just pwned all that iCRAP!!!
I'm thinking about it, I'm just a bit curious and concerned. If i want a DSi I want it NOW so... I would get the Jap version, the only problem is that the new DSi games will be region locked! (That means if I buy a japanese system I need japanese games, USA system USA games, EU system EU games etc.) and That would be a bit annoying... but I also read that it can play games off the SD card, does it just mean DSi games or also NDS Rom files (Pokemon Platinum.nds for example) I might look into it before getting it...

I also dont think that it will allow you to run DS cards such as R4, M3 and TT DS, because of the BIOS having some anti-piracy protection on it... BUT im sure there will be an application on the very early models of the console that allows you to run homebrew and games of the SD card, Apparently it supports SDHC.

Although you said you don't care about the GBA slot it makes a BIG difference to a lot of games, Without it it means that...
Guitar hero won't work
Pokemon games dont have full capatabilities
No rumble packs!
and no Passme/USB cards for DSi!
Although you don't think you need GBA GAMES you still need GBA SLOT for other things...

I'm searching the net like crazy, I have come across a few stunning discoveries...
The image shows the difference between the two charges, BUT if you look closely the DSi charger looks like a USB-B input
see? maybe this is so you can maybe charge the DSi via USB or maybe to transfer those images between DSi and PC?
Also if you look eventhough the DSi is "THINNER" it has larger dimensions in width and height. I know I am over doing my post but this is a VERY interesting console...
but this also means that the DSi has a different charger then the DSL... and there may be a hack to make the DSi region free upon release.
one final discovery (at this moment) is that the screen is larger, but this means the pixels will be larger... making the DSi's screen look more like the when the DS screen runs GBA games, just horrible...

What people don't actually know is that this ISN'T a remake of the DS/DSLITE it is an entire new console. It will have different games that where the DS games say "Nintendo DS" it will say "Only For Nintendo DSi" so it is actually a new console, here are some games exclusive to the DSi releasing in Japan

i think the DS definitely takes the lead over PSP, i already though the DS was better the PSP but now I think DSi totally obliterates the PSP lol
looks like a great lineup of games, i was wondering how some of those new games (KH 358/2 Days) were going to be able to even run properly on the ds lite but with that amazing CPU upgrade and RAM upgrade i can see it working out better.
huge upgrade from the DS/DSL, the cpu a little more then doubled and the ram went up times 8!!! or watever the word is for times 8!!! lol now does this mean DS games will play faster/smoother in areas of games that I noticed a tad bit lag in???

These are actually DSi exclusive games not DS, DSl and DSi games.
The problem with sony is they jus try to keep making there same console better, they need to make a new PSP not the same console 3 times...
