I am trying to burn a Nero .nrg image file to an Aleratec 4 stack DVD burner but keep getting this error message. The original disk is DVD-R and I have tried Maxwell DVD-R, Verbatum DVD+RW, and now TDK DVD-R.
The image burns to the DVD burner in my laptop. It also burns to the Stack burner ONLY if I select one drive, not 2 drives.
This is CRAZY!!! I opened Nero up 4 times, so the program is open 4 times at once. Open Nero program #1 is burning the image to my main DVD drive (drive D). Open Nero program #2 is burning the image to the 1st Aleratec Drive, E. Open Nero program #3 is burning the image to the 1st Aleratec Drive, F. Open Nero program #4 is burning the image to the 1st Aleratec Drive, G.
So I can get the computer to burn the image simultaneously to 4 burners, but only if it thinks that each open Nero program is NOT burning simultaneously

Windows Vista. Nero version 8.
Any suggestions?
It could well be that the Aleratec isn't supported by Nero, i have no idea.
As to the multiple recorders feature in Nero, have you tried this -
Originally posted by garmoon: Just for you Cincyrob. I feel guilty. To Multi burn an ISO file (4.7 GB and probably 9GB) on HDD
1. Open Nero Ultra Suite 6.6.0.18
2. Open Nero Burning Rom (NBR)
3. X out the window that opens in NBR
4. Click on top left on FOLDER
5. Find where your ISO is located and highlight it and click open
6. Burn Compilation window opens:check multiple recorders. Then click burn
7. In the Choose recorder(s) window that opens, highlight the 2 burners you want to use (mine shows all three and would probably do them all). Click OK
8. Put media in drives as they will open automatically. I assume they stay close if they are already loaded.
9. Click on the burn Icon and both drives spin up. * when I did it the first time I used internal and external 16X drives different brands, both stopped about same time with nice new DVDs booktyped to DVD-ROMs.
