Latest version of DVDFab is 5.1.0.5. Other than that you should be good to go. Happy burning.

Either one should work just fine. Make sure your disks are cleaned very well, as most rentals for sale have alot of scratches.

yes, look at the shape of the disc before you buy it, fine one that looks to be in good condition

okay have not seen this anywhere on here so another question is some dvds come with the option of wide and fullscreen on the same side of the disc. can i choose what one to use for the copy? and does this also work for dvds that have the unrated version plus theatrical version too?

When you choose re-author in DVD Shrink, you can pick whichever title you want to back-up. Just preview the title in Shrink to know which is widescreen or full. Rated and unrated is a little harder to pick between, but I have found that the majority of the time the unrated will be the longer version.

bigman77 there is nothing special about rental dvd's as far as copy protection, one thing you might want to look into for the kids and the finger prints and smudges, buy some d-skins! they work wonders for kids!
