Try DVD Flick.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Another vote for dvdstyler, it can easily make stuff more pretty than a lot of early DVDs from the major studios even put out. If it doesn't automatically convert your videos to mpeg, grab avidemux too.

pffffffffft, save your money chumps. The free tools are more than adequate. If you need something professional (something you are going to charge money for), use a professional tool like dvdlab pro, otherwise you're not getting much value for money. I used to use the core TMPGEnc transcoder, it was no more capable than avidemux, and the other suggestions are not much (if at all) better than what dvdstyler can do in terms of authoring.

Worth every cent of the $300 if you actually need professional results, practically any other tool you need to pay for that is under that price point isn't much better than dvdstyler.

Only a real chump would spend $300.00 on tools you will never need or use. The true professional videographers that I know use Adobe Premiere Pro. Overkill for the average home user, much like Adobe Photoshop CS4 for the casual snapshot taker. To each their own.

Premiere? Used it and was not impressed. Caused all sorts of AV sync problems, was a disgusting memory hog, far less features than dvdlab and 2.5x the price. Premiere has next to nothing on dvdlab pro, it is just for posers and pirates. Yeah, looks pretty if giving a demo to a client, but much like a Mac, lots of show and not much go. Each to their own indeed.
