Clicking PS2 Problem When Reading Sony's Games

Hello,

My Slimline PS2 (and my classic one) have a problem reading Sony published games, whenever i play any other game the console happily loads it instantly. But i have God of war (1&2) and Gran Turismo 4 and neither of them want to play, the console just sits there going *tick tick tick tick*, i can get the games to work if i open and close the lid over and over again, but this can take 20 mins+.

So i just want to know if theres a fix for the problem or if my PS2 needs to be sent to Sony for a repair.

If you need anymore info just ask below and ill happily provide it :)
