HP 740b No bitsetting, Hacked Firmware?

I cannot find much information on the subject. I am in dire need of bitsetting some disks.

I believe I read some people were installing 840b firmware on 740es, but I don't know how that would work or anything.

PLEASE help me locate firmware, and explain how to install the firmware.
