Subtitles Wont Show Up on MKV File

Hi I was subbing this video. I made the subs using Aegisub which made the .ass file. The file also has karaoke. Then I opened up mkvmerge GUI. Then insert .ass file and the Xvid video with the mp3. Then it merges and has no problems. I opened it up with VLC then the video and sound works fine but the subtitles or any of the karaokes wont' show it. It says it's selected but nothing seem to appear at all.
