I just bought a new machine that has a 650 GB (or so)HDD. I have a 200 GB and a 120 GB from my old computer.

What I'll be using them for:

Downloading, assembling and burning DVD-sized files
Using Photoshop to edit pictures
Doing a small amount of video editing
Using some Office functions
General Internet surfing

I currently have Vista Home Premium.
Any ideas?

Your thread title is a little confusing. What partitioning help do you need? If you're looking for suggestions with regards to the usage of your three HDD's, then personally I'd use the 120GB for drive C:\ and keep your program files on it. Use the 200GB as drive D:\ for let's say....general documents and all the other crap we all tend to accumulate... and lastly, I'd use the whopper 650GB as drive E:\ for movie storage.

On your 120gb hard drive make a 30gb partition and put windows there. The other 90gb partition you can use as data partition.

The reason you want your system partition always small, is to backup and restore quickly. You can backup 30 gb in less than 30 minutes and restore in less than 45 minutes. If you try and backup 120gb, that can take hours.

If your system partition gets corrupted "which happens from time to time" it'll be quick to restore it.

drive 1) 120gb partition c: 30gb(vista) partition d: 90gb(data)
drive 2) 200gb single partition (or you can make it into a 30gb /170gb split that way if your primary drive goes bad you can restore windows on the 30gb partition without affecting data on 170gb partition.)
drive 3) 650gb single partition

All partition should be formatted with the NTFS file system which is recommended for video editing and reliability.
