the last 2 days i have had my system shut down and start back up.everything seems fine once starting back up. but then it will shut down and start back up again..

It says controller error. That doesn't sound good. I'm agreeing with your diagnosis.. try the cable first, then possibly try updating the mobo drivers.
What do you think Sam.. I have seen apparent drive errors wrongly reported due to bad ram corrupting the read/write operations.
I've only had controller error with bad cables, so it's not necessarily anything serious, but if all the drives are suddenly doing it, it's likely to be a motherboard or power issue.
well i am haven issues with my mem right now and only have 1 stick running at the time. tbh i think i didnt start getting these errors until i started haven the problem with my mem
