Hi, I went through some other posts and couldnt really find the problem I was having.

I have a really old dell dimension. 780 mb ram, 2.8 gig processor

It started acting up with virus syptoms awhile ago. (GF's little sister really knows how to tear up these computers)

Im getting the BSOD with an error (I forgot the exact error #), but only on normal boot. I tried Last known Good Config, and got nothing. I can get it to boot into safe mode. However on safe mode with networking, everytime I try to go anywhere other then google, it takes me some place totally different I did not tell it to go to. Im assuming alot of virus and spyware is preventing the browser from going where it needs to go. But on safe mode........

anyway, I grabbed a jump drive, downloaded malware bytes and superantispyware. (since I couldnt download it myself from the same computer)

I am currently going through the scans now. Intresting Advanced system care recorded 1780 spyware threats, then shut down itself. Malware currlently has 10 objects found.

Any help or other good programs I could download, I will get back with the specfic OS error blue screed number.

Thanks in advanced

Possibly, now your windows installation is corrupted with the half-repair of windows. I suppose that your Windows installation CD has different updates than what's actually on the system, e.g. service packs?

The only way left, I believe, is to reformat and reinstall Windows. Removing malware from the system will not help to fix the corrupt windows installation.

Best Regards :D
