Please for the love of god, someone solve my issue...
I'm the owner of a Q6600 Quad core pc with 3gb of memory, an Asus p5w DH Deluxe and a xFx GeForce 9600GT with a 320Gb SATA hard drive. I had Windows XP installed and kept up to date on all my drivers and windows updates. Now, onto the problem:
I have a Microsoft Desktop 1000 which is a wireless desktop set, and which has worked incredibly over the months I've had it. Except for the battery consumption, it's a good buy, but I use rechargeables, so that's not an issue. Thing is, I installed Race Driver GRID a a while back and the secuROM malware started doing weird things to my computer, crashing when right-clicking EXEs but most importantly making my mouse jumpy and histerical (its not laggy, it just doesn't flow through the screen, but rather it hops around, and sometimes in unpredictable ways) which makes doing precision clicking, like going through the start menu a pain in the back. I removed all of the secuROM mumbo-jumbo i could find (using ShellExView and manually deleting folders), and it seemed to work ok.
Recently I switched from XP to Vista and upon installing some new games, like Far Cry 2, GRID again, and Spore, my mouse began jumping again and i went through the same motions again... but the mouse still feels jerky. At one point I thought the problem had to be elsewhere, and so I found out about USB Polling Rates and stuff, but I'm pretty convinced that's not it, because my mouse isn't laggy...
Please does someone know how to fix this, or remove secuROM for good or whatever the solution may be??? It's getting unberable to work in windows with it, and gaming has also been affected. Thanks a bunch

Is this a USB mouse? if you have a ps/2 adapter try installing that and connecting the mouse to the ps/2 port.
Have you tried a regular wired mouse to see if the problem goes away when using a different mouse?
