Hey frends this might very easy for most of you guyz, but I m kinda new to video editing and all.
So not taking much of your time, let me jst tell you wat xactly I wanna do....
I need to extract or cut parts of a movie frm a dvd/vcd,but the file format is MPEG - 2/MPEG - 1/MPEG which is not supported by windows movie maker/Sony Vegas 6.0.
I m kinda stuck nw,n due to my lack of knowlegde in this area I am not able to proceed further.
Can somebody please help in doing this?Wat are all the steps I need to follow inroder achieve wat I want to....
P.S :- If its possible to convert these MPEG files to other formats which is supported by movie maker/sony vegas, then do let me knw.
For a ripped DVD folder containing .VOB files, run DVD Shrink and 'Open Files'.
Select the 'VIDEO_TS' folder.
Click 'Reauthor' and drag 'Title 1' from right to left.
Select the 'Start /end frames' logo and choose the first part you want to keep, then OK.
Drag 'Title 1' from right to left again and repeat for the next part.
When ready, click 'Backup' and choose to save the output to a new folder or ISO (if nero is installed, you can optionally burn the disk).
I don't know of a program to edit and save VCD (mpeg1) files.
It would probably be easier to load them into VirtualDub, edit them and save the output as AVI files.
