Hey people, need some assistance again. I was watching a video on the internet yesterday, when suddenly the video freezes, i hear the noise that sounds when you unplug a usb device from the computer, and i realized that my Hi Speed 7 Port USB hub disconnected automatically out of no where. So i replugged it and now whenever i replug it, the little bubble pops up and says "USB Device Not Recognized" This is so weird. It was working perfectly and just stopped out of no where.
I tried a couple of things to fix it but the results are always the same, no change. When i plug it in and the little pop up shows, i click on it to get the list of USB ports on the computer. When i plug the 7 Port Hub in, it shows up as Unknown. I tired deleting it and re plugging it in but that didnt work. I tried deleting the little registry code for this device and then restarting the computer, but that didnt work.
But after i delete the registry string for it and restart the computer, something new happens when i plug the device in. whenever i plug it in now, 4 little windows pop ups occur. The first one says that a new device has been detected. The second one then changes to Unknown Device. The third one says You Device has been Installed and Is Ready to Use. And then the fourth on is the normal one which says USB Device Not Recognized. This USB Hub was really helpful to me and cost about 30 Bucks. Can anyone Please Help?
I am using Windows XP, Service Pack three. Oh and just another thing to let you all know. The device has no drivers. Its one of those plug and play devices. So there is no way of reinstalling the drivers or Updating the drivers.
