Is it a good ideal to make MDS/ISO file when using Dvd decrypter ?

When I make back ups of single layer DVD PS2 games is it nessary to make the mds file with the ISO ?

Do you get a better exact copy of the orginal when you use mds/ISO combination when buring the game to dvd ?

Will having a mds file with the ISO file help with the emulator at all to run the game more properly ?

You don't need the .mds file with DVD5 backups although it won't hurt if you have it.

MDS is just a file that is generated along with the ISO file when making a 1:1 copy or creating an ISO file on your hard drive. It just basically tells your burner where to put the layer break for dual layer burning.

So it is basically just used when backing up DVD9 games.
