Up to no, dvd decryptor, dvd2one, and nero have been my choice. whats up with dvdshrink and copy2dvd products. Do these give me benefits I don't know about that I could use when making my dvd backups???
I've not used Copy2DVD but DVDShrink is a nice little package that will both rip and compress and integrates nicely with Nero to burn the results, basically start to finish through the same interface with very nice results.
My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

Not really Dave , maybe a bit more re-authoring options (but personally I do Movie-Only w/ DVD2One unless doing an episode disc).
But if you wanted to do a back up w/ original menu without having to do a Full-Disk back up then DVD Shrink would be the choice...as DVD Shrink will allow you to compress the extras down to stills (still pics being the highest compression on extras).
It is freeware and if you get time , try it out mate.
Thanks for the link and the insight. I will check it out. I have been doing full-disk because I wasn't sure on a couple non-full backups and I only got a directors cut video and not the actual movie so I think I will try DVDShrink.
Because my brother and his wife are reading over my shoulder, my next topic is going to be how to read in their old 8mm tapes and making DVDs from them.

In DVD2One with most movies the options I take are ...AC3 6CH/English [subs]/Angle 1
And if given the choice of two title sets I normally choose the top one.
This is usually 4:3 and/or 16:9 screen ratios ...but it could be original movie & directors cut I s'pose !;)
It would be a good feature to add to DVD2One updates , whether certain title sets is/are Full-Screen ... Widescreen ... Directors Cut !!

You will need to do plenty before it is ready for DVD , I suggest a big read up on the matter at hand.
This forum might be better to find an answer to that question.
