This is what I would do if you haven't upgraded the CPU, and all is OEM:

Try re-flashing your bios. If that does not work, contact HP on their support line.

I tryed reflashing the bios, and all i can find is v3.28 the one i have already loaded (But i re-ran it anyway). still my 3.4ghz CPU isn't working. I have the OEM 3.0ghz CPU Back in. I don't understand why it don't work. It used to work fine. HP told me to take it to a shop? Why would i waste my money there.... any one know where I can find an older bios? Or any one know a way to fix.

Long shot:

Reset the CMOS. If your not sure how, look in the manual. This will set ALL the setting back to the original state when it was new.

The CMOS is usually 3 small pins on the motherboard with 2 shorted. Make sure the PC is unplugged from the wall before pulling the jumper.

And if this doesn't work, I am a loss as to what else to try without having the PC in front of me.

doing that will still keep the current bios version not the original version you had.

Correct. But my thinking is, it may get rid of his error, "unsupported cpu". If he overclocked or set up his bios incorrectly somehow.
