Ok my laptop is around 2 years old now,Amd turion64 x2 1gig intergrated ati gfx, in the past 2-3 weeks now it has been shutting down because of it over heating , i have never had a problem with it before,
im not sure what average temps are for a laptop but mine is running at around 77c just idle on the desktop.
Here is an image of speed fan
I have a physical temp gauge inside the laptop on the cpu reading around 70-85 idel.
the fans fine it runs at high speed like it should the heat sink has a crack in it(do not ask me how that got in there because idk)
The crack is in the bend part of it between the cpu and the case fan.
I recently repasted the cpu after i started having these heat issues
thinking that was the problem, but there was no luck.
I really would like to keep this laptop so if anyone has any suggestions on what i should do please post, thank you
(i did not check for typos i am in a rush and just threw this together forgive me.)
Life is but a dream; you dont feel any pain unless you want to or you fall off the bed. Success is relative; the more success the more relatives.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing. To be or not to be; thats a dumb question.
Have you tried cleaning dust out, upping the fan RPM in BIOS? Running it in a well ventilated way, for example have it raised from the table/your lap instead of sitting right on it.
