PROBLEM after Installing New MODCHIP!!!

pls help me this! My ps2 V8 model can play backup games,but after i change my modchip to modbo4.0 and then try to check if it will work the " MATRIX" logo appear on tv screen but when I try to play my back-up game it did not work. It just read the ps2 dvd games and then stop turning and go back to SONY Browser!!! can anybody help what the problem? Maybe I did not connect well the laser ribbon or the motor ribbon,pls any Idea with this? Thank in advance!!!
