hi ,

i have a dvd that has a concert that was filmed several years ago and the quality is pretty low , color wise and some grain . is there a software you recomend that i can use to fix or improve the quality of the video and also maybe crop it as we'll . thanks

Try Avidemux.

Load the video (VTS_01_1.VOB).
On the left menu, set 'Video' to 'DVD'.
'Format' to 'MPEG-PS'.
Click the Video 'Filters' button to get that menu.
'Transform' lets you 'Crop' and 'Add Borders' to get it back to the original size
'Noise' offers a range of filters that you can try for best effect.
You can also select a colour menu.
'Close' back to the main window and click the 'Save' logo.
Give the output a complete name (Must include the extension E.G newmovie.mpg).
