ok i made a backup of my original game and it skips now and stops at the loading screen it used to work perfectly before just to scratched up now i guess but if i was to save the iso from this scrated dvd-r to my comp using decrypter and reburn it would it work or would it be the same as it is now?

Whatever burning software you have, just make a copy/data disc...nothing more to it. If your previous backup worked fine, then there is no reason to suspect a "copy of a copy" won't work as well. Use the best media blanks you can afford and burn slowly.
