i recently downloaded a file on e mule... since i am a newb... i do not know hot to preview the file while is downloading, after it was done i went ahead and try to open it with wind. media player and it was all green an blue squares like a bad signal from a satellite image, although the sound was perfectly fine i thought it was a codec problem, i checked with g-spot but seems like i have all i need. i tried moving the file to other folders, no... and also avi preview... but nothing? any ideas??
you can preview a file by right clicking the file you are downloading, but this is only after the first and last chunks of the file is loaded, this setting can be checked in preference>files, but emule dont realy want you check this, as it makes the avabilty of files rare, because if every one only loaded the frist and last parts, and then found outthey coulld play the file they would stop the download,
But just because you cant play the file, It does not mean others cant
The other way to check if a file is ok, is to check the file comments, other clients have put In, they sometimes tell you what codec is needed, or look at the file Details, to get more info.
