Takes about 15mins to boot up then once its started everything just takes ages to load up, my sound is all cracked wen i play musci, games take forever to load, if i plug a usb into any ports my computer will hang then crash, i have done virus scans and registrey clean up and still the same, i have done system restore's and still that same, i even tryed booting from winxp disc so i could format but my usb keyboard will not load up untill my computer is on desktop. im goin out my mind, any ideas what it could be??? faulty ram or mobo?? im gonna try a ps2 keyboards to do a format and fresh install see if that will solve it, if not i will try gettin a new hard drive but im thinking my mobo minght be broken.. i have also tryed to update my bios and still nothing!!! any info would be great guys.. thanx

Hold down ctl-alt-del to get to the task manager if you have Windows XP. Click on the 'Processes' tab and look in the mem usage column for anything with a high number. You might have something running in the background using all your memory which will slow you down considerably. Look for anything over 20,000.

Then click the performance tab. Look at the 'Physical Memory' section under available and make sure you have enough memory available. You should have at least 150 for decent performance.

Also look on your desktop at the lower right of your taskbar where the time is. If you have a lot of icons there, this means you are running too many things at one time and that will slow your computer down. You need to get rid of some of those icons.
