I just installed an internal Blu-ray drive today (Model: Sony opticarc BR-5100s) I also updated to the latest firmware off of sony-optiarc's website. The thing is in "My Computer" usually after putting a movie disc in the icon changes from (disc and drive) to (just a disc). Also double-clicking on it put a message saying:

Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows.

I also have AnyDVD HD running while this is in my system (since I don't have an HDMI connection to my monitor).
I also have a Playstation 3 and the disc works just fine in there.

Please help me, thanks.

That's actually normal, at least in my experience. Just point PowerDVD to the disc that you want to play, and let it do the work.

Actually sort've got it working, I had to install UDF 2.5, which was very hard to find even with a google search, but it's mostly all good now, thanks. I would probably need that power DVD in order to actually play the movies, but I'm more for aiming to backing up my Blu-rays. (Heh they should call it Power Blu-ray).

Also if you want to make backups try AnyDVDHD, after you get them to your HD you can play them without using any of those crappy programs (e.g. PowerDVD,winDVD, neroshowtime). Freeware programs such as MPC and MEPlayer are light years ahead of what those commercial suites have to offer.
