Hi all,
I hooked up my HDTV (Sharp Aquos 37" lc-37d40u )to my PC using a DVI to HDMI connector and set my HDTV as the primary monitor. I set my resolution to 1280x768. My tv's resolution is 1366x768 and i am using a Radeon 9550 Graphics card. I have messed around with many different resolution in my settings and cannot get a clear picture out of any of them. the 1280x768 is the best that i can get but it is still blurry. How can i get a clear picture out of this setup...is my graphics card too low quality or is there something else i am missing here

thanks

AMD64 Athlon 2800+ 1.8 GHz
768MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9550 Graphics
Windows XP Home

Have you tried using the VGA connection(if your TV has a VGA port?) Or using component (Y,Pb,R) output via the adapter that may have come with the Video Card. If one of these gives a better picture it could have something to do with the DVI to HDMI setup. Which Radeon 9550 card is it?

this is what i have and it has a computer hooked up to it: Philips 42PFL3603D/27 - 42" 1080p LCD HDTV - 29000:1 Contrast Ratio - 5ms Response Time. i started out with a standard hd av hook up and it wasn't what i thought it would be. then i changed to DVI to HDMI and everything came into focus, great picture. don't know why you wouldn't get great resolution but i have gotten great results by using the HDMI hook up. i have nvidia 6200LE video card and i couldn't be happier, guess i could have a stronger video card and get even better results. it might be your video card that needs revamp or replaced.

A newer card specifically made for HD with HDMI out may be the answer. You should be able to get an exact resolution match.
