cyclods evolution / micro sd

Hello every one

I have just purchased the cyclo ds evolution. I formatted my 4gb micro sd card and the dragged some rom.s onto the card. When i placed it in the ds it said the sd card was not formatted to FAT 16 or 32. I have put the sd card back in the pc and when i went into properties is says file format is FAT32. Is there some sort of file system that should be put onto the sd card or am i doing anything else wrong
