can anybody help my sons ds has got a pin missing in slot one for the ds gaems do i need to get a new card slot of a new motherboard many thanxs any help would be great

Yes you do - you can buy one for about £10 but be careful when removing the old one, it is very easy to remove the solder pads from the board

IMHO, unless your time isn't worth much you'd be better off buying a new logic board.

I defer to Kittymat's experience but I looked at replacing the slot-1 cart assy. and there appears to more de-soldering/soldering than I care to do.
