Can someone please help me by telling me how i can set my new adsl modem router up. I know how to do it via connecting it directly to a PC but i want to have it not connected via any of my computers. I want it to completley wirelessly.

What cables do i need to connect??

If someone help me with a link to a guide it would be great.

I did do a google search and did not find what i wanted i even i went to youtube and had no luck there.

to set up a wireless router and modem you will need to set up the modem and then connect the router and modem with an ethernet cable. to set up the wireless network you will need to connect a computer to the router with an ethernet cable then type in "192.168.0.1" if that doesn't work try "192.168.1.1". that should get you into the router settings. then you just need to read the manual that came with it to setup the wireless network. after that you can disconnect the ethernet cable then connect with a wireless adapter.

ok thanxs.

Kinda a confusing answer there but i think i get what u said. so i need to connect it firstto the computer to set it up and then after that i can disconnect it and leave it be.

sorry about that.

1-connect the router to a computer

2-then open you internet browser and type in "192.168.0.1" or "192.168.1.1"

3-edit wireless settings.

4-disconnect cable from router and setup wireless adapters.
